I have owned several deep fryers in the $80 to $100 price range, but had gone without a deep fryer for several years. I purchased my WPF100B at Costco for $30. The Amazon Marketplace price today is $89.99. I probably would not have been disappointed even if I paid $89.99. The design is very intelligent. The breakaway cord is very short for safety and it is easy to attach to the fryer without looking. The heating element is attached to the front panel and drops inside the oil container, so you cannot use solid oil (solid at room temp) such as shortening or lard. I use oil anyway, so that is not a disadvantage for me, and this feature makes it so easy to clean. The element must be cleaned by hand but the oil container is steel and can be cleaned in the dishwasher - along with the fryer lid. The lid even has a small window so that you can see the food cooking. The cool touch feature is so cool that I was able to pick up the fryer and move it while it was cooking. I received the fryer but gave it away since I could not return it. It was purchased thru Amazon but from an Amazon dealer. The basket was tiny for the size of the fryer. Although the specs stated the capacity was "large" at 3+ liter, that was the capacity of the fryer but not using the basket.
Misleading at the least.

works well, but requires too much oil to cook too little food (small basket capacity) at a time.
