This fryer is hard to clean thoroughly (cleaning the heating element without wetting the electronics is a real pain!), the filter doesn't remove any grease odor so you need to use the machine outdoors, the thermostat is not digital and difficult to set accurately. This thing is such a pain to use and clean that we barely ever use it. I guess that's a good thing from a health standpoint.
