Comment: First time out, I cooked fresh french fried potatoes for 16 guests at a birthday party. Perfect!
The first batch I cooked a little too long at six minutes. The rest came out restaurant quality at 4 and 1/2 minutes each batch (about three potatoes at a time).
I'm really pleased with this fryer, and my house guests also were most pleased. I expect some will be on Amazon buying the same item.

Summary: Worked Fine at first - then... 2010-07-22
Comment: This deep fryer worked fine for awhile (loved it then) then the oil started overflowing from the sides everytime I used it after that. I had to keep a close eye on it and couldn't cook more than 2 or 3 chicken cutlets at a time. It just seems likes it was more trouble than it was worth so I haven't used it since. Back to the stove top frying ;-(

Comment: Unless you own a tile or granite type counter top, beware of extreme surface heating due to the exposed bottom . . . Great professional look, nice large basket and adjustable temperature with a timer add to good features. The affordable price should not compromise safety.

Summary: Almost perfect 2010-05-22
Comment: I think the line for the high oil mark is wrong, that only gives me about an inch of frying depth with the basket in. I added more oil and WOW, this thing really frys. Temp seemed a little on the high side, but watching the food close everything came out crispy. Doesn't seem to be much of a temperature drop after adding food either. I've gone through alot of fryers and this is the top of the list so far. The extremely short cord and the magnetic plug are the only drawbacks.

Summary: We've really enjoyed this product 2010-03-31
Comment: Read all the pros and cons on amazon before buying product. We've really enjoyed this product and have not had issues with it once broken component was replaced (broken in shipping). My husband needs gluten-free so we fry fish in it for him. Cooks up beautifully, evenly and is very moist...as good as any restaurant only gluten free!
Any clean-up after frying is going to be a little messy but we find this product relatively easy to keep clean and take the time to strain oil after use so we can use again( we refridgerate it after using it). After reading both pros and cons I can honestly say I recommend this product without reservations.
