This is my first deep fryer and it works great. I do agree with some of the other reviews that the max line should be a little higher up as it only gives a thin level for cooking food in. While the body does seem to be a light weight or thin stainless, it also isn't something that I plan on mounting on my cabinet so the lighter weight helps for movement and storage. I do recommend this to all my friends and family.

Nicely constructed. Heats up very fast. I was torn on whether to buy a small, medium, or large fryer. This does take a lot of oil. If you want to keep fishy type of oil separate from other frying oils, it is kind of a hassle being so large. Or you could by one small and this large. The large basket is great for big portions. The temperature dropped only slightly when frying chicken. So far so good!
