With its gallon-size oil reservoir and a powerful 1800-watt immersion element, this deep-fryer cooks large quantities of food quickly and crisply without that greasy fried food feeling. Simply fill the tilt-out, heavy-duty mesh basket with food, lower into the hot oil, and monitor progress through the glass window. The domed lid ingeniously catches condensation and channels it away, keeping splattering to a minimum. Built-in safety features include a breakaway cord, automatic shutoff if the unit gets too hot, and indicator lights. Also, the unit will not operate unless all parts are securely interlocked. A timer can be set for up to thirty minutes. Made of high quality stainless steel, the body and lid, oil reservoir with pour spout and basket hook, and control panel should give years of service. The oil reservoir, basket, and lid are dishwasher safe. The fryer measures approximately 17 by 8-1/4 by 14-1/2 inches. Summary: Good fryer, watch the handle 2007-09-28
Comment: We have had this fryer for 3 years now and have been very happy with it. I only fry outdoors to keep the smell out of the house (yes, it's cold frying stuff in the winter). Like another reviewer, we melted the handle. Since it stores in the oil, it should be made out of ABS or something else that is heat tolerant. The part# is 026653 and is available from Waring for about seventeen dollars. I do wish the temp went above 375 and the timer announces the end of the frying session with a single unsatisfying ding that you had better be listening for. Overall, though, it does fry well as long as you don't overload the basket.

Comment: This is the best fryer I have ever owned (and I have been through a few). We use it constantly. It is easy to use and easy to clean out too. Plus it looks nice enough to have out on the countertop all the time.

Comment: I have been frying for many years but this is the best fryer I've found. It fries a lot of food - 16 wings at a time and doesn't need time to reheat for the next batch. Also makes them crispier than others. The timer is nice feature and cleanup is easier with removable tank. Highly recommend.

Comment: I fry wings, fries, and egg rolls and this fryer is the best!!! The fryer cooks very fast and and the end result is crispy and golden brown. I've considered ordering another one because it fries so well!
