Strikingly sleek looking with chrome sides, this 12-cup deep fryer fries food to perfection with a built-in electronic timer and adjustable thermostat. An "on/temperature ready" light and an "on/off" switch offer added convenience. With its fresh-food capacity of 2-3/4 pounds, this family-sized fryer provides not only ease and flexibility, but also several safety features. Its large viewing glass window allows for monitoring food, while its external, integrated basket handle protectively raises and lowers the basket with the lid closed. Summary: this thing stinks bad! 2010-02-21
Comment: bought this thing on clearance for 30 dollars and used it 2 times after that the lid would not stay shut and was always opening in the midst of frying things do not buy this product maybe that's why it's not available a lot of places this thing should have been recalled and fixed by the company mine went in the trash i'll go back to the old style with the glass lid

Summary: Almost everything is washable!!! 2009-12-12
Comment: I had a T-Fal fryer similar to this one for years and years and I was heartbroken when I broke it accidentally. Took a long time to find another one that had all the features I wanted. Don't use the filters recommended on this page, however. Instead, I contacted T-Fal and ordered several of the correct black ones (not that expensive.) The only thing that worries me at all about this fryer is that the lid can be taken off for dishwasher purposes and the back clasp is plastic and seems a little flimsy to me, but maybe it will be fine. The fact that almost everything - lid, basket, and oil container can be washed in the dishwasher is what appeals to me so much. I love it!

Comment: Each time I use this fryer I tell myself to write a review on it. Finally here I am. This fryer would have five stars if not for the lid opening at will. Like others, while using it, the lid keeps popping open. Kind of dangerous situation. This is a defect that T-Fal ought to address. Great fryer as far as the cooking goes but not recommended because of danger in getting burned by splatter.

Comment: I had read reviews that said the cords fell off, no problem with the cord at all. Great fryer large capcity. no oil spatter, the basket comes out of the oil with the lid down. I would recommenend this fru=yer to all my friends

Comment: I liked this product it worked well and looked very nice. The only problems I have with it is the outside surface gets hot when on and the fryer was alot bigger than it needed to be, hard to store.
