Summary: Didn't last a Year!!!! 2007-06-04
Comment: Worked great till it bit the dust. Flimsy untill you put grease in it. It was just the right size for my son's cheese sticks and okra I cooked for him. I liked the 'idea' of being able to throw it into the dishwasher but waited too long between fryings as I used it several times a week and grease would build up and lo and behold it wouldn't come off until I scrubbed it myself. The basket scrapped the teflon sides and the handle would come apart at the most inopertune times and that was dangerous. I didn't trust it as light as it was. I made the children get out of the kitchen area while I cooked as I was afraid they would bump it and it would spill.

Comment: Like everything about this fryer, except, it is a bear to keep clean and oil somehow gets underneath unit, on table and all. Otherwise, a real cooker, but would look elsewhere next time...

Comment: My kind of appliance - easy to use and maintain, and it works as advertised.
Tried it first with frozen french fries. Set the temp where the book said, the oil heated up quickly, and they came out perfect.
The best part, though, is the oil storage/cleanup. It's so easy a caveman could do it! ;o)))))
I let the oil cool for 2 hours as suggested, set the pot on the storage container and walked away. Came back a little later, removed the pot, covered the storage container, and that was it!
Cleanup is a breeze also - took 20-30 seconds to disassemble, washed with warm soapy water, rinsed thoroughly, and let dry overnight.
Love it!

Comment: This is one of the best deep fryers I have ever purchased. The well for the oil is great. Just set the fryer on and let it drain. Clean-up is a breeze and the oil stays clean and usable much longer. I reccomend this product for every one.
