French fries, onion rings, doughnuts--all the standards and lots more can be deep-fried in safety with this 1,560-watt countertop appliance. It cooks family-size portions (up to 3 pounds) in a big, 8-inch-diameter, 2-3/4-inch-deep basket. An adjustable thermostat calibrated in both Fahrenheit and Celsius provides precise temperature selection, and a temperature guide for various foods is printed on the fryer's exterior. Safety features abound: the lid locks, the basket can be lowered and raised remotely with a locking handle while the lid remains closed, a splatter-free window permits monitoring of the cooking process without opening the lid, the plastic exterior remains cool during operation, and the fryer automatically shuts off with a timer that can be set up to 30 minutes.

For cleaning ease, the nonstick oil pot lifts out and a condensation collector pulls out. Two replaceable filters fit into the lid to reduce odors. (Replacements are available separately.) The fryer measures 11 inches wide, 10-1/4 inches high, and 14-1/4 inches deep.
