Maxi-Matic Elite Platinum Deep Fryer

Comment: I purchased this fryer because of the size and having separated fry areas. It was great for about a week! I was about to write a great review about it. Then not one, but both of the heating elements started billowing white smoke that smelled of burning wires. I am not the only one to have this problem. The company insists that it is just lubricant burning off, but it is just poor design. I don't see how a company can continue to sell a defective product to people. If your product doesn't work, fix the flaw or discontinue it. I wouldn't waste the money on this fryer and I have serious doubts about the company now as well.

Comment: My husband and I read all the reviews before we bought ours. We bought ours and love it. We are a family of 5 and this works so nice and fast. I would have rated this a 5 star but within the 3rd time of use the temperature scale imprinted on the panel wiped off! The numbers wear off from the heat weather you clean it off or not. I did a trial I cleaned one side after it cooled and left the other alone. we were trying to avoid what everyone else was complaining about. By the 4th time my husband took a wood burning tool and engraved the temperatures before we couldn't read the temperatures anymore. We too also noticed that one side is about 5 degrees off. This was not a big deal to us. After we fixed this little problem we have enjoyed the deep fryer and recommended to friends and family.

Comment: You have deep fry two different thing and the cooking oil is kept separate. Love it.

Comment: This is just what I was looking for! I'd spent a number of months looking for a dual deep fryer and when I found/purchased this one, I was extremely happy with it. This is really great for parties, if you're making wings etc... I'm really enjoying this appliance.
