Ewave 1.2L Deep Fryer Black and Stainless EWDF12S

I had never heard of this company before but I was pleasantly surprised when I got it. I love the removable oil container. It seems to be non-stick because unlike my other deep fryers this one doesn't end up with a lot of residue from splatter and it is really easy to clean. Things cook well and it heats up quickly.

Easy to clean because of the removable oil bucket and easy to use. Also, it beats the price of all of the other mini deep fryers!

This is potentially a great little fryer. It is the perfect size for a single person or even a couple who don't eat much; it is very easy to use (the little basket is perfect), to clean and to store, and it heats the oil very quickly. Unfortunately, it does not get the oil hot enough. The maximum temperature on the dial says 375°F - where I set it - but a full HOUR after turning it on the oil had barely reached 350°.

The heating element clearly is powerful enough to reach that temperature easily and quickly, because the oil heats to around 300°F in just a few minutes. But then the thermostat cycles off and stays off most of the time. To get the rest of the way even just to 350° takes FOREVER, rising less than 1° per minute.
