And it worked acceptably for about six months. At first the main problem was the two-piece handle kept slipping apart, which got me burnt more than once. And then one day it just stopped working altogether. I believe may have been due to a problem with the odd power connector on the unit, which was troublesome from day one. You'll find multiple reports of the same issues on the very similar Euro-Pro F1042 Compact 2-Cup Stainless-Steel Deep Fryer and the Deni 9301 Mini 840-Watt...Read more 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful: By Sherri (New York, NY) - See all my reviews This review is from: Euro-Pro F1045 1-1/2-Liter Stainless-Steel Deep Fryer (Kitchen) I bought this fryer a couple of months ago, and since then I used it maybe 3 or 4 times max. Last night I heated it up, and it goes off when the timer goes off; well it heated up and then the light turned off and when I tried to turn it back on so I could cook my food it wouldn't come back on. It pretty much died on me, and it was not even hot enough to cook my food. Light would not come on, I checked the cord which is removable, I checked my outlet, checked the timer and the temperature setting. NOTHING HAPPENED. I even tried completely unplugging it and letting it cool down, let it sit, tried again after it was cool, NOTHING. For 40.00 I do not expect an appliance to stop working after only 3 uses, this product turned out to be a piece of crap. I could have bought one for 20.00 less and it would have worked better. My advice: DON'T BUY EURO PRO. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful: This review is from: Euro-Pro F1045 1-1/2-Liter Stainless-Steel Deep Fryer (Kitchen) I had mine for more than a few months, it was great. Then poof right in the middle of frying up some tortilla chips, soggy happened. Loved things about it but it didn't hold up as well as my mom's old fry daddy I grew up using, think I'll go back to an old faithful brand. was just trying something new, learned my lesson. |
