Cuisinart CDF-300 2-1/5-Liter Deep Fryer, Brushed Stainless Steel

I purchased this fryer about 9 months ago. It is very easy to clean. It is really nice as you can just dump the oil out and either rinse most of the parts off in the sink or drop them in the dishwasher. The base unit is easily wiped off with a soapy hot cloth.

The large surface area of the oil compared to other fryers allows you to cook a lot of donuts or things you cannot just pile in. Because of the large oil capacity the fryer keeps its temperature even when you drop in a lot of frozen food. As college students we have lots of parties and cook a lot of fried food and it will easily cook french fries as fast as a group of 5 guys can eat. The best part is that a small recipe book is included with some great ideas, I love the potato chips.

The only complaint I have with the design is that you can only fill the bowl half full with oil if you still want to drain the food by hanging it on the hook. It is hard to explain but the food cooks in the bottom...Read more

I've only use this item twice since I've bought it, but I have no complaints whatsoever. This item is very heavy-duty and allows you to cook a large amount of food at one time; It's very ideal for families! So far I've used it to fry chicken, pork chops and chicken tenders and everything came out great! I was able to fry six pieces of medium to large pieces of chicken at one time. Very, very easy to clean! I love this fryer!

Excellent fryer, but it looks like Cuisinart has discontinued the item since it is no longer listed on their website. All they have is the much smaller CDF-100. The 300 gives you a great size for a family, and doesn't take up a ton of counter space. It's basically a cube of 11x11x11. It's simple to use, easy to clean, does the job well, and doesn't look like some of the fryers out there that have so many electronics that you're sure something is going to break. This unit is sturdy, simple, good-looking, and cooks enough at once that the whole family can eat at the same time. What more do you need? Get it before they become impossible to find!
