Very simple in design. Digital numbers are easy to read, and the timer is a nice touch. It all comes apart for easy cleaning.

Got this for Christmas Eve - my family does the whole nine yards with the fish and this year my husband and I decided to fry our own calamari. This deep fryer definitely did the trick. One thing I DO hate on it though - the plug is magnetic and comes out VERY easily. I understand that this is for safety reasons, but come on, one tiny little tap to the machine shouldn't knock it out, and when it does, you have to plug it back in and reset.
I also thinks its a bit overpriced - you are definitely paying for the brand name on the side. Would I recommend this? Probably - but only if you have a gift card to Amazon or it comes down some in price.

The Calphalon extra large works wonderfully. We bought it for a party we were having and it saved us a lot of work.
